Wasn't what I expected

We had seen the dress on the website and were very excited as it was not like any other we had come across. As it was an appointment system, although it does state on the website there isn't any pressure to buy, which there wasn't, it still felt far more pressurising than it would in a shop. From the outside, the building is an imposing Victorian property, which promises much, but the inside did feel rather cluttered, dark and with a small 'cloth' draped in the corner of the room which was the 'dressing room'. The dresses were not covered over, as I would have expected, and the dress which we tried had obviously been tried on before by other customers and yet was being sold at the same price as one that could be ordered. The host was fine. When we went to collect the dress later (we walked into Chester to shop) we had to stand on the doorstep for ten minutes ringing the bell. Eventually, I had to phone from the outside to get attention. Admittedly, the dress was fantastic but this certainly makes up for the place itself, which we really didn't like as somewhere to feel comfortable.
