Denbigh Road,
We visited this country pub because we had read a glowing reveiw in our local Flintshire Chronicle. I agree this full page reveiw was based on one journilists experience. Four of us thought we would give it a try. On entering we were greeted with a huge log fire, and a friendly smile. We sipped our drinks and gave our order. There is a extensive chefs special board to choose from. My friend chose the sea bass on a bed of tagitelle our orders varied. Ok, I know its a country pub and they usually have the brasses & the velvet uphostlery. We we shown into a dining room which I must say was devoid of warmth , atmostphere, I thought it quite miserable. My friends hubby summed it up well by saying it was like sitting in a Doctors waiting room. Presentation, taste, quality is nothing special or out of the ordinary. In fact the chips were dire. I beleive you get what you pay for, in this case -we didn't. Needless to say we disagreed with the original reveiw. .
